Andrew Dickman Director

Andrew is a qualified Chartered Surveyor with over 25 years commercial property experience. He specialises in delivering cradle to grave property strategies to maximise profit and minimise risk. He established the northern office in 2012, to capitalise  on development and re-positioning opportunities in Northern England and Scotland. Andrew has a long track record of successfully delivering multi phase developments within this geography and further afield.

Andrew was formerly a Director of Savills and partner in Fuller Peiser. Andrew was responsible for all aspects of acquiring, developing and managing a £120m property portfolio for a family trust.

Will is a qualified chartered management accountant (ACMA) and member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers. He has fourteen years’ experience in property and REIM.

Prior to joining DB Symmetry he was Executive Director in Forum Partners’ finance group, Head of Finance at Palmer Capital, a developer and property investment manager, Associate Director at Cordea Savills, the European real estate fund manager, and at Close Brothers, a UK merchant bank.

Jonathan Dawes Planning Director

Jonathan is responsible for establishing and managing the planning strategy for strategic land holdings from acquisition through to disposal. He has broad experience with the promotion of sites through both the development plan process and submission of planning applications for major residential, commercial and mixed-use schemes, and in managing multi-disciplinary teams.

Jonathan has a BSc (Hons) in Land Management and an MSc in Urban Planning and Development from the University of Reading.

Jonathan joined Barwood in June 2007 as a Planning Executive from Reading Borough Council, becoming a Development Manager in 2012, and Planning Director in 2015.

Harry Sadleir Development Director

Harry works closely with occupiers and the development team to deliver class leading property solutions.

Jonathan is a qualified chartered surveyor with over 20 years’ experience as an agent and developer.  He formerly ran leasing and investment teams in London and Birmingham at DTZ (now Cushman and Wakefield) and JLL.

Prior to joining DB Symmetry he was a Board Director at Miller Developments where he delivered multiple logistics, manufacturing and mixed use developments including over 3 million sq ft at Omega, Warrington from inception and HSBC Banks new retail banking headquarters at Arena Central in Birmingham.

Jonathan specialises in sourcing, funding and developing large scale multi-unit schemes realising value for occupiers, landholders and shareholders.

Simon Dixon Development Director

Simon is a qualified Chartered Surveyor with 25 years’ experience in all aspects of commercial property development and planning.  His early career was as an agent in Leeds and Manchester and he has for the past 12 years undertaken numerous commercial developments whilst working with a regional construction firm and a national developer.

 He specialises in large logistics, manufacturing and mixed use schemes primarily across the M62 corridor but has also undertaken city centre office and retail led developments.

Daniel Burn Development Director

Dan is a qualified chartered surveyor with over 15 years’ experience in the commercial property industry.

Prior to joining db symmetry, he was a Partner at King Sturge and most recently lead JLL’s successful Industrial and Logistics team in the North West, advising on schemes such as Omega, Warrington; Logistics North, Bolton and Airport City, Manchester.  He has been involved in many of the high profile pre lets, funding and speculative developments that have been completed in the region over recent years.  This experience has enabled Dan to develop a pragmatic and occupier focused approach to development.

Paul Chatterjee Development Director

Paul has over 20 years industrial and Logistics experience and joined db symmetry’s  Manchester office from Lynton Developments, where he was a director for seven years. There, Paul specialised in occupier-led development working with a number of funds, major retailers and third-party logistics companies in the procurement of new bespoke design and build facilities.

Paul started his career at Knight Frank working in the Yorkshire market before moving to industrial specialist Fuller Peiser. In 2003, Paul and two partners created a specialist industrial and distribution consultancy, C2G. Knight Frank acquired the consultancy in 2006 and Paul stayed as a partner there before joining Lynton in May 2009.

Tom Leeming Development Director

Tom is a qualified Chartered Surveyor with over a decade of experience behind him.  He previously worked in London, initially at Jones Lang LaSalle and most recently at Cushman & Wakefield where he was a Partner before joining DB Symmetry in Summer 2015. He specialised in providing leasing, investment and development advice and has completed several high profile pre lets acting for both the occupier and investor.

He read Agriculture & Business Management at Newcastle University before focusing on commercial property gaining an MSc in Real Estate Investment & Finance at Reading University.

In 2011 Tom completed a solo swim of the English Channel in 11 hours 7 minutes raising over £20,000 for charity.

Matt joined db symmetry from GVA in 2018 having previously worked at Knight Frank and Indigo Planning in Manchester.  Matt has 12 years-experience advising on all aspects of land use planning across a wide range of property and business sectors including the delivery of large logistics, manufacturing and mixed use schemes.  Matts day-to-day role includes coordinating the specialist inputs of design, highways and environmental consultants to support a range of planning application submissions; reviewing land interests and property assets, highlighting the development opportunities and potential planning risks; preparing policy representations, to influence emerging planning policy and allocate land for specific land uses through the development plan process; and undertaking stakeholder and community consultations.

Freddie is a qualified Chartered Surveyor who graduated from Sheffield Hallam in 2010 with a 2:1 BSc (Hons) degree in Business Property Management. Freddie is based at the db symmetry northern office joining in July 2013, following 2 years working at Colliers International in the North West Industrial Agency team.

Freddie is involved in the management of development projects from acquisition through to disposal throughout the North of England, North Wales and Scotland. His tenacious approach to securing deals has earned him an exceptional reputation as an ambitious property developer able to deliver on multi-million-pound schemes. He has developed exceptional relationships with major funding institutions, national occupiers, local authorities and project teams alike.

Joanna Lombard Executive Assistant

Joanna joined DB Symmetry in October 2016 after re-locating to Northamptonshire, having previously been an Associate in Strutt & Parker’s National Estate Agency team based in Oxfordshire, where she was primarily involved with the sale of rural property and land. Joanna also holds a NFoPP Level 3 Technical Award in the Sale of Residential Property. Prior to embarking on a career in rural property, Joanna obtained a Land Management degree from Harper Adams University.

Joanna’s role is to support the Directors, liaise with clients, and to assist with projects and research, as well as overseeing the day-to-day running of the Northampton office.

Kirstie MacDougall Executive Assistant

Kirstie joined DB Symmetry in 2016 having relocated from Devon. She holds a degree in French Studies from The University of Birmingham. As a linguist, Kirstie enjoys the opportunity to engage with diverse audiences and has learnt the true values of effective communication.

Kirstie also holds a diploma in Business IT with Marketing and PR. In addition to handling the Sales and Marketing in her former role, her previous responsibilities have included implementing administrative systems and project coordination.

Kirstie supports the Directors, liaising with clients and contributing to projects and research, as well as overseeing the day-to-day running of the Northampton office.

Jill joined DB Symmetry in January 2017 having previously worked as a Barrister’s Clerk for 7 years. Jill clerked for several practitioners, who specialised in personal injury, clinical negligence and Fraud, and gathered the integral skills needed for the role of an Executive Assistant. Jill’s role is to support the Directors and Development Surveyors, liase with clients, as well as assisting with projects and the day-to-day running of the Manchester Office.

Lovemore Dandira Financial Accountant

Lovemore is a qualified accountant with over 10 years’ experience in finance and investments. He trained at PwC LLP prior to moving to BDO LLP where he audited clients in real estate and construction. Prior to this, Lovemore was an independent financial advisor and a soldier in the British Army.

In addition to preparing our management and financial accounts, Lovemore is responsible for implementing and maintaining strong group-wide financial controls, acting as our internal technical accounting resource and assisting with tax matters.

Lovemore is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and has completed all the requirements of the BSc in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University. He is also a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

Leonie Grant Assistant Management Accountant

Leonie is responsible for the preparation and completion of the management accounts for DB Symmetry group and also all invoicing and credit control.

Justin Baker Investment and Business Analyst

Justin joined dbs in April 2017 for process improvement and to manage the accuracy of the portfolio forecasting.

Justin is currently a candidate in the Certified Financial Analyst program having passed the level 1 exam in December 2016, he is also a CFA candidate member of the CFA Society UK after achieving the Investment Management Certificate in November 2015. Having studied AAT and CIMA previously Justin has a broad range of accounting and investment knowledge.

Justin has previously worked in a diverse range of organisations, from a private hospital chain managing the accounts for a small entity, an alternative investment manager as an analyst and asset manager for £260mn AUM and even a supply chain analyst for Avon cosmetics EMEA region costing $500mn annually.

Adelina Potocka Purchase Ledger Clerk

Adelina joined db symmetry in April 2017 as a Purchase Ledger Clerk.

She holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from the polish University of Economics. Currently, she is studying towards becoming Qualified Accounting Technician.

Adelina is responsible for all invoicing, processing payments, dealing with Supplier queries.
