We’ve been granted reserved matters planning permission at Symmetry Park, Biggleswade in Central Bedfordshire for the development of over 1 million sq ft of logistics and manufacturing (B2/B8) space in five units ranging from 72,000 sq ft – 515,000 sq ft.
The 50-acre site forms the sixth phase of the successful Stratton Business Park and is located just 600 metres from the A1, two miles to the south east of Biggleswade, 11 miles south east of Bedford and only 29 miles north of the M25.
We currently have 1,007 acres now under our control with consent for 15.5 million sq ft and a further 2,000 acres in the planning process seeking consent for 29.8 million sq ft.
Speaking about the planning decision, Tom Leeming, development director at db symmetry, added: “We are very pleased with the decision. Biggleswade has become a well-established business location with a number of high profile occupiers, such as Bibby Distribution and Jordans Ryvita already based here. Being located only 29 miles north of the M25, the site is of strategic importance for business with a ready labour supply on the doorstep. With detailed planning now secured we will shortly be announcing our construction and investment plans for the site.”
